With his father Roy as his partner, Ray Titus started Signarama in 1986. In a short period, the concept became so successful that the father and son duo was able to begin franchising. Around the same time, Ray was inspired to use his own acumen and experience to help other entrepreneurs grow their businesses. Thus, United Franchise Group was born. Fast forward to the present, and UFG has over 1,400 franchise units in more than 80 countries.
In addition to being business savvy, Ray is skilled at public speaking and has given several keynote addresses, including at the World Leaders Conference. On top of it all, Ray was named one of the industry’s most influential people on ASI’s Power 50 list in 2010.
Founder and President of Experimax
Jim Muir founded Experimax with the first location in West Palm Beach, Florida back in 2009. His goal to offer affordable Apple products to customers was realized, and his company soon grew due to his business knowledge from running car dealerships. He got the idea for Experimax through his hobby of buying, fixing, and selling used electronics. In 2013, the first Experimax store earned over $1.8 million, which is what inspired Jim to start franchising. In 2015, Jim partnered with Ray Titus and UFG to get the ball rolling on turning his business into a franchise concept.
Mary Tomlinson Mills
Marketing Director for United Franchise Group
Mary Tomlinson Mills is responsible for overseeing all the marketing and messaging for the six major UFG brands, including Experimax. Since October 2008, Mary has been key to the franchise development team as the advertising expert at UFG, helping all the brands grow. Before joining the UFG family, Mary did public relations and marketing at Mills Media, where she developed brand strategies for various clients. Mary graduated from the University of Florida.
Evan joined UFG as the National Director for UFG in 2006. With over 10 years of experience in franchising, Evan has done it all! From franchise sales and support to business development and marketing, Evan is the expert.
His role as National Director centers on building up our brands in Australia. He takes special care to ensure our brands and franchisees get the support they need through the Field Operative network and our worldwide franchise development team. Additionally, he creates new marketing strategies and enhances the existing marketing programs to be more effective for franchisees, helping them reach their sales goals.
